Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in public relations or business related field
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in public relations or related business field or 5 years of equivalent experience
  • Thorough knowledge of public relations, community service, event planning and communications
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Familiarity with Canva, Oracle, SalesForce preferred
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of budget management principles

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in public relations or business related field
  • Over 2 years of equivalent work experience in public relations or business related field or 5 years of equivalent work experience
  • Thorough knowledge of public relations, community service, event planning and communications
  • Thorough knowledge of grammar, composition, editing and proofing
  • Working knowledge of advertising and publicity
  • General knowledge of accounting principles for budget management
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a competent professional manner
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Outstanding team play
  • Ability to be creative and use ingenuity
  • Detail oriented
  • Operates independently but knows when to seek counsel and ask questions
  • Superior PC software skills including proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of Canva, Oracle, SalesForce preferred

Job Duties

  • Manage contribution and grant requests including intake, evaluation support, documentation, reporting, and relationship communication
  • Lead event management of nonprofit sponsorship-related events and ticket distribution for employee engagement and client entertainment purposes
  • Serve as a communication hub for the department drafting and distributing Beacon content and corresponding with employees and nonprofit partners
  • Provide operational support including budgeting assistance, data tracking, reporting, and cross-market coordination
  • Support community and volunteer events by collaborating with nonprofit partners and internal teams to ensure smooth logistics and meaningful employee engagement
  • Support employee recognition efforts and United Way campaign activities ensuring thoughtful communications and well-organized events
  • Manage specialized market sports contracts including coordination of expenses and event tickets
  • Manage inventory and distribution of various promotional materials
  • Coordinate social media postings
  • Maintain department invoice system and approve vendor billing
  • Correspond with publications, nonprofits, and associations concerning branding opportunities
  • Perform special projects and discretionary tasks
