Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, marketing or related field
- Proven experience in community relations or similar role
- Proficiency in social media
- Current US driver’s licence
- Previous administration experience in the resources sector preferably on a remote site
- Good understanding of office processes, systems and equipment
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Alaska Notary Public preferred or ability to obtain within three months of hire
- Experience with document editing and graphics production
- Advanced computer literacy including Microsoft Office and database systems
- Ability to identify and overcome challenges to complete tasks
- Flexibility to adapt to improved procedures
- Awareness of MSHA Act and regulations
- Ability to pass background check and post offer physical
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations or marketing or a related field from a recognised tertiary institution
- Proven experience in community relations or communications roles
- Proficiency in social media management
- Current US driver’s license
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Computer literacy including Microsoft Office, PowerPoint and Excel
- Ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders
- Detail-oriented with a proactive problem-solving approach
Job Duties
- Identify and develop relationships with local community organizations and nonprofits to foster partnerships aligned with sustainability goals
- Coordinate community events and initiatives to enhance company visibility and engagement
- Update and maintain the company’s social media platforms with current, engaging content
- Collaborate with the communications team to create impactful social media posts and campaigns
- Plan and execute employee engagement activities in collaboration with HR and site administrators
- Gather employee feedback to improve engagement programs
- Provide administrative support including scheduling meetings, preparing materials, and maintaining records for external affairs
