Job Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in a related field
- four years of relevant experience in recreation program development and supervision
- directly related experience may be substituted year-for-year for education
- valid Motor Vehicle Operator's license if operating a vehicle for job duties
- ability to pass pre-employment drug testing
- proof of United States citizenship or authorization to work in the United States
- willingness to request accommodation if needed under the Americans with Disabilities Act

Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Recreation, Physical Education, Business Management, Facility Management, Event Management, International Affairs, Environmental or Conservation areas or a closely related field
- four years of experience in developing and supervising recreational community center programs or related areas
- proven leadership and strategic planning skills
- experience with community engagement and collaboration
- certification as a Certified Park & Recreation Professional (CPRP) is desirable
- certifications such as United States Professional Tennis Registry (USPTR) or United States Professional Tennis Association (USPTA) are desirable
- knowledge of safety certifications relevant to assignment
Job Duties
- Serve as the administrator for adult and youth programs offered to the public
- lead strategic planning and program development for special-use facilities
- conduct data analysis to measure program performance and viability
- collaborate with citizens, staff, leadership, and Park Board members to enhance recreational offerings
- oversee operations at Cooper Tennis Complex, Killian Sports Complex, and The Fieldhouse
- manage program budgets and resources
- ensure compliance with safety and risk management standards
