Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Required licensure to perform as a Paramedic within the state of employment
- Ability to obtain Community Paramedicine (IBSC CP-C) certification or complete NEMSA Essentials Course or obtain CP-C licensure in the state of employment within two years of hire date
- Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to provide effective coaching and leadership
- Demonstrated teaching and educational facilitation skills
- Ability to adhere to established standards for educational quality
- Familiarity with basic computer applications and functions
- Team-oriented and able to work effectively and efficiently with others
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record in accordance with Acadian’s driving and insurability policies
Job Qualifications

- Ability to obtain Community Paramedicine (IBSC CP-C) certification or complete NEMSA Essentials Course or obtain CP-C licensure within two years of hire

- Familiarity with basic computer applications
- Team-oriented with ability to work effectively and efficiently with others
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
- Degree from an accredited college or university preferred
- Previous trainer or instructor experience preferred
- Previous critical care experience preferred
Job Duties
- Provide high-acuity in-home clinical care for acute conditions such as infections, heart failure, pneumonia, and post-surgical recovery
- Conduct thorough physical and environmental assessments to ensure patient safety and plan of care efficacy
- Maintain real-time communication and coordination with the virtual care team including nurses and physicians
- Respond to crisis and rapid response alerts in the home setting providing necessary interventions as per hospital and standing orders
- Deliver patient and caregiver education on disease management, medication, and treatment plans
- Document all assessments, interventions, communications, and outcomes in the electronic health record system promptly
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to ensure continuous, gap-free care
- Participate in research projects, support program development, mentor new staff, and represent the program in outreach or quality improvement activities as assigned
