Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred but associates degree with relevant experience will be considered
- One to two years of experience in community outreach coalition building or communications
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
- Organizational skills and attention to detail
- Familiarity with Onondaga and/or Oswego communities or state government is a plus
Job Duties
- Maintain a calendar of outreach activities including community events workshops appearances and other communication opportunities with the goal of building relationships throughout the district
- Conduct research on relevant issues and community stakeholders and draft and execute plans on engagement
- Draft and send regular outreach and correspondence to stakeholders and interested parties
- Collaborate with Constituent Services to develop constituent-serving public events to provide resources and meet constituent needs
- Assist the Constituent Services department in addressing constituent cases ensuring timely follow-up and resolution
- Attend community events municipal meetings board meetings as a representative of the Office of State Senator Christopher J. Ryan
- Exhibit unquestionable professionalism and adherence to ethical standards
