Job Requirements

Live within 30 minutes of Philadelphia city center
Be at least 21 years of age
Have reliable transportation
Submit a cover letter outlining interest in Yelp and recent local business supported
Must meet Yelp Elite Squad eligibility and comply with Elite Terms of Membership
Agree to Yelp's policy prohibiting compensation for promotional activities
Have strong event planning, social media, or marketing experience
Possess excellent communication skills
Be self-motivated and enjoy creative freedom
Be physically able to lift 10 pounds

Job Qualifications

Bachelor's degree preferred
Minimum 3 years of experience in event planning, social media management, or marketing
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work autonomously and manage own schedule
Proficiency with social media platforms and content creation tools such as Canva
Creative mindset with ability to generate engaging content
Ability to lift up to 10 pounds without assistance
Deep knowledge and passion for Philadelphia and its local businesses

Job Duties

Attend local events and build connections with local business owners
Conceptualize, plan, and execute Yelp events in the region
Forge mutually beneficial partnerships with local businesses to sponsor events
Support the Yelp Elite Squad by engaging with their content and keeping them updated on local happenings
Research and curate local business collections for the Yelp newsletter
Build relationships and partnerships with local organizations to reach new audiences
Manage and grow Yelp’s regional social media presence across Instagram, including copywriting and visual and video content creation
