Job Requirements

  • Live within the Inland Empire, preferably Riverside or Rancho Cucamonga
  • At least 21 years of age
  • Reliable transportation
  • Submit a cover letter outlining interest in Yelp and recent local business supported
  • Meet Yelp Elite Squad eligibility requirements and comply with Elite Terms of Membership
  • Prohibition on accepting compensation for promoting companies' goods or services

Job Qualifications

  • Local expert on all things Inland Empire
  • 3+ years of professional experience in event planning, social media management, and/or marketing
  • Willingness to approach and connect with business owners to foster collaboration
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to thrive in an autonomous work environment
  • Creative freedom and initiative
  • Ability to lift 10 pounds without assistance
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred

Job Duties

  • Attend local events and build connections with local business owners
  • Conceptualize, plan, and execute Yelp events in the region
  • Forge mutually beneficial partnerships with local businesses to sponsor events
  • Support Yelp Elite Squad by engaging with their content and providing updates
  • Research and curate local business collections for the Local Yelp newsletter
  • Build relationships with local organizations to reach new audiences
  • Manage the day-to-day curation and growth of Yelp's regional social media presence including copywriting and visual asset creation
