Job Requirements
- Current undergraduate student or recent college graduate, or equivalent experience
- reside in Detroit, Michigan with reliable transportation
- at least 21 years of age
- consider yourself a local expert and have a love for small businesses
- experience and interest in planning and coordinating events
- strong written and verbal communication skills
- well organized and pay attention to detail
- experience with social media copywriting and asset coordination
- creative problem solver who understands Yelp's applications
- bandwidth and flexibility to work 10-19 hours per week, Monday through Friday with potential weekend work
- ability to lift 10 pounds without assistance

Job Duties
- Work with Community Manager to understand market and prioritize effective messaging
- help plan and execute events including parties, local meet-ups, and happy hours
- gain practical experience in digital and social media marketing by creating and organizing social media content
- support maintenance of Yelp's local online business listings by flagging photos, identifying media alerts and scams, and ensuring accurate business information
- support online community building through engaging with Yelpers via the app and website
