Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field
  • Minimum two years of experience working with volunteers and supervising group activities
  • Familiarity with stewardship and donor engagement practices
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and volunteer management software
  • Proficiency in Word Excel PowerPoint Outlook and Canva
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to coordinate cross departmentally for event planning and development goals
  • Team oriented and collaborative
  • Produces accurate high quality work and follows through on commitments
  • Develops clear systems processes and communication to support smooth operations and avoid errors
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or a minimum of two years of relevant work experience
  • Prior experience working with volunteers and supervising group activities
  • Familiarity with stewardship and donor engagement practices
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and volunteer management software such as Samaritan
  • Proficiency in Word Excel PowerPoint Outlook and Canva
  • Comfortable lifting up to 25 pounds
  • Valid driver's license required

Job Duties

  • Recruit train and schedule large group volunteers with a focus on Meal Serve sponsorship groups manage all logistics and serve as the primary point of contact
  • Greet sign in supervise and provide tours to volunteers ensuring a welcoming and rewarding experience
  • Maintain meticulous records in the volunteer database ensuring data is consistently accurate complete and up to date
  • Assist with monthly volunteer orientations and follow up communications
  • Log organize and fulfill in kind and personal item requests manage donation inventory
  • Lead planning and execution of over 10 community events annually collaborate across departments engage partners and recruit volunteers to support fundraising and mission based events
  • Keep bulletin boards and on campus materials current and engaging
  • Create Canva materials for events and donation drives in collaboration with the Marketing and Communications Manager
  • Respond to inquiries via phone and email managing the volunteer inbox and office phone
  • Serve as point of contact for in kind donors volunteer events and involvement opportunities
  • Capture volunteer photos and stories for use in social media and newsletters in coordination with Development
  • Represent the Coalition at community events and tabling opportunities to build awareness and recruit volunteers
  • Assist with fundraising events and organizational initiatives as needed
  • Provide general support to the Community Engagement Manager and other departments as directed
  • Work full time 40 hours a week with occasional evenings weekends and holidays required
