Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in marketing, community outreach, or volunteer management
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and internet applications
- Willingness to attend community events and represent the organization
- Proof of COVID-19 vaccination upon hire or approved exemption
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Experience in community outreach, marketing, or volunteer coordination
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to develop and maintain professional relationships
- Proficiency with digital tools and software applications
- Experience in nonprofit or healthcare settings is a plus
- Demonstrated organizational and project management skills
Job Duties
- Develop and implement annual marketing plan and outreach strategies to targeted community groups to increase patient referrals and admissions
- Identify and cultivate relationships with community partners to enhance awareness of Big Bend Hospice services
- Build and maintain media relationships to position the organization as an expert in end-of-life care
- Develop content for newsletters, social media, and annual reports highlighting volunteer and community relations contributions
- Create and execute volunteer recruitment plans including hosting and attending recruiting events
- Interview and pre-screen potential volunteers
- Utilize technological tools such as spreadsheets, medical record systems, word processing software, online meeting platforms, time tracking, Volgistics, and email to manage outreach and volunteer coordination
