The Plymouth Community Center is a vital hub for local gatherings, events, and recreational activities in Plymouth. Job Requirements
- Physical stamina to perform labor such as moving tables, chairs, and full trash bags
- ability to follow instructions and work under supervision
- ability to manage time effectively during scheduled shifts
- willingness to work varied shift lengths and start times
- basic maintenance skills such as changing light bulbs and performing light repairs
- good communication skills to interact with staff and the public
Job Qualifications
- Must be able to work independently and efficiently
- must be capable of working effectively during busy times
- must have interpersonal skills to interact with the public in a professional manner
- previous custodial or janitorial experience preferred but training is provided
Job Duties
- Perform janitorial duties to maintain cleanliness throughout the community center and its grounds
- complete facility set-ups and teardowns for room arrangements under the direction of the Facility Coordinator or Building Supervisors
- conduct tasks such as changing light bulbs, washing windows, cleaning restrooms, restocking inventory, mopping floors, dusting, and performing light repairs
- operate maintenance equipment including floor scrubbers, vacuums, and sweepers
- assist in preparing for and cleaning up from birthday parties, playground activities, weddings, meetings, classes, and programs for children and seniors
