Job Requirements
- High school diploma required
- valid driver’s license
- completion of background check
- completion of Safe From Harm training within first 90 days
- CPR and first aid certification
- ability to speak, write and understand English sufficiently
- computer proficiency
- strong organizational skills
- ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
- experience working with the public preferred
- ability to lift up to 25 pounds
- good manual dexterity
- ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- occasional travel for training and community events
- willingness to uphold The Salvation Army’s religious mission
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma required
- associate degree preferred
- experience in office and administration preferred
- experience working with the public
- strong people skills
- valid driver’s license meeting The Salvation Army driver qualification standards
- completion of Safe From Harm training within 90 days of employment
- CPR and first aid certifications
- proficiency in English for effective communication
- computer proficiency with Microsoft products
- strong organizational and communication skills
- ability to write reports and present information effectively
Job Duties
- Manage the daily oversight of activities for Community Center
- work collaboratively with program directors and community collaborators
- communicate the needs and success of the Community Center to external stakeholders
- assist with training, supervising, and evaluating community center staff and volunteers
- evaluate Community Center programs and reassess community needs
- develop and implement promotional plans for programs
- coordinate the Community Center schedule and facility usage
- assist with facility rentals and payments
- ensure compliance with policies and risk management procedures
- maintain program documentation and databases
- keep computer-based calendars updated
- maintain communication with divisional headquarters
- model ethical decision-making and respectful communication
- demonstrate commitment to community well-being and personal development
- support and exemplify the mission of The Salvation Army
- ensure a welcoming environment for all ages and ethnicities
- maintain a safe and healthy environment
- assist with Christmas efforts
- perform other assigned tasks
