Job Requirements
- Completion of the twelfth (12th) grade
- ability to lift and move tables and chairs weighing up to 30 pounds
- physical stamina to perform light to medium physical work
- ability to work flexible hours including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays
- possession of or ability to obtain a valid California driver’s license by appointment time (may be waived for disability)
- ability to communicate clearly in English
- ability to follow oral and written instructions
- capacity to operate basic office and event equipment
- willingness to perform minor custodial duties
- ability to engage with diverse communities
- ability to maintain a safe and secure work environment
- availability to work extended hours as required

Job Qualifications
- Completion of the twelfth (12th) grade
- knowledge of operations and services of District56 campus
- understanding of custodial methods and safety procedures
- ability to provide excellent customer service
- skills to set up rooms and facilities for events
- ability to operate audio-visual equipment with training
- ability to interpret and apply facility use policies
- skill in monitoring events and identifying potential issues
- ability to maintain clean and safe facilities
- effective communication skills in English

Job Duties
- Provide superior customer service to building visitors and potential clients at the front desk
- perform heavy repetitive physical work including the lifting, moving and set-up of tables, chairs, audio-visual materials, and other furniture and equipment
- perform minor janitorial duties including cleaning and sanitizing, sweeping, mopping floors, emptying trash containers, and restocking restroom facilities during events
- operate stage and room light controls, computer, audio and visual equipment following on-the-job training
- secure building during closing including returning equipment to proper place, turning off lights, and locking the facility
- provide information and assistance to patrons and community members about District56 campus services and activities
- conduct facility tours and ensure compliance with facility use policies and safety regulations
- monitor proper and safe use of facilities during events and collaborate with security officers
- process facility reservation requests and confirm bookings
- maintain accurate records of work performed and facility supplies
- observe and comply with city safety and operational protocols
- perform related duties as assigned
