Job Requirements
- live within 30 minutes of Madison city center
- be at least 21 years of age
- have reliable transportation options
- have bandwidth and flexibility to work 19 hours per week
- submit a cover letter outlining interest in Yelp and suitability for the role
- no conflicts of interest such as business ownership or affiliation with competitors
- meet Yelp Elite Squad eligibility requirements and comply with Elite Terms of Membership
- agree to maintain Yelp's integrity by not accepting compensation for promotion
Job Qualifications
- bachelor's degree preferred
- strong written and verbal communication skills
- experience with event planning or community engagement
- knowledge of social media platforms such as Instagram and Twitter
- ability to work autonomously
- passion for the Madison community and local businesses
Job Duties
- attend local events and build relationships with local business owners and community organizers
- conceptualize, plan, and execute Yelp events in the Madison region
- engage with the local Yelp Elite Squad both online and offline by organizing Yelp Elite events and communicating city happenings
- build Yelp collections for the Local Yelp newsletter featuring weekly themes that highlight local businesses
- manage Yelp's local social media presence across Instagram and Twitter
- curate and grow the local Yelp community through various engagement strategies
- represent Yelp at community functions with enthusiasm and professionalism
