Job Requirements
- Live within 30 minutes of Madison city center
- Be at least 21 years of age and have reliable transportation options
- Have the bandwidth and flexibility to work a firm 19 hours per week
- Not be a business owner or closely affiliated with a business owner in conflict of interest
- Comply with Yelp Elite Squad eligibility requirements and Elite Terms of Membership
- Not accept compensation in exchange for promoting companies' goods or services
- Agree to comply with guidelines and policies outlined by Yelp
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to thrive in an autonomous environment
- Passion for local community engagement
- Experience with social media marketing
- Event planning experience
- Comfortable building relationships with local business owners and community organizers
Job Duties
- Be the face of Yelp in your region by attending local events and building relationships with local business owners and community organizers
- Conceptualize, plan, and execute Yelp events in your region
- Engage with your local Yelp Elite squad online and offline by hosting Yelp Elite events at local businesses and keeping them informed of city happenings
- Build Yelp collections for the local Yelp newsletter featuring weekly themes highlighting the best local businesses
- Manage the day-to-day curation and growth of Yelp's local social media presence across Instagram and Twitter
