Job Requirements
- Live within 30 minutes of Madison city center
- Be at least 21 years old
- Have reliable transportation
- Ability to commit 19 hours per week
- No conflicts of interest such as business ownership or affiliation with direct competitors
- Must meet Yelp Elite Squad eligibility requirements and comply with Elite Terms of Membership
- Agree not to accept compensation for promotional activities
- Willingness to uphold Yelp’s community guidelines and integrity standards
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to work autonomously
- Demonstrated event planning and social media skills
- Experience engaging with community groups or local businesses
- Passionate about Madison and knowledgeable about its local scene
Job Duties
- Be the face of Yelp in Madison by attending local events and building relationships with business owners and community organizers
- Conceptualize, plan, and execute Yelp events in the region
- Engage with the local Yelp Elite squad online and offline, hosting Yelp Elite events and keeping members updated
- Build Yelp collections for the Local Yelp newsletter featuring weekly themes and top local businesses
- Manage the day-to-day curation and growth of Yelp's Instagram and Twitter social media presence
