Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Some work experience in dispatch or routing calls in customer service
  • Possession of NAACS, IAMTCS Certification or industry accepted equivalent
  • Valid Emergency Medical Dispatch certification
  • EMT-B or Paramedic certification
  • Proficiency in industry accepted dispatch software
  • Strong customer service skills with professionalism
  • Minimum two years experience in EMS, 911, aviation dispatching or two years as EMT or Paramedic in 911 or hospital environment or two years customer service/dispatching in non-911 environment with at least one year in healthcare, EMS or public safety
  • Ability to remain calm under stress
  • Ability to adapt and respond to evolving work demands

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in dispatch or routing calls in customer service preferred
  • NAACS, IAMTCS Certification or industry accepted equivalent
  • Emergency Medical Dispatch certification
  • EMT-B or Paramedic certification
  • Proficiency in industry accepted dispatch software
  • Strong customer service skills with a high level of professionalism
  • Minimum two years experience in EMS, 911, aviation dispatching or equivalent healthcare/public safety environments
  • Ability to remain calm during stressful situations
  • Ability to adapt and respond to evolving work demands

Job Duties

  • Receive and relay critical medical transportation requests promptly and accurately
  • Maintain sharp focus on all aircraft while in flight
  • Operate all radios, information systems, and related equipment in the Air Medical Communications Center
  • Provide professional, courteous, and respectful service to customers and program partners
  • Utilize excellent telephone skills and radio etiquette in compliance with FCC and FAA regulations
  • Collaborate with Operational Control, Maintenance, Aviation, and program staff to ensure safe and efficient dispatch
  • Assess and initiate post-accident incident plans when necessary
  • Maintain accurate data entry and quality through the dispatch process
  • Participate in staff development and maintain up-to-date knowledge and skills
  • Promote patient and crew safety through focused communication and operational protocols
