Job Duties
- Answer airport switchboards and direct calls to appropriate personnel
- receive and transmit emergency and non-emergency calls
- enter, update, and retrieve license information from the National Crime Information Computer (NCIC)
- enter and update information in the airport security system computer
- monitor closed-circuit television cameras for airport security surveillance and alert police officers as necessary
- monitor security alarms throughout the airport terminal and grounds and notify personnel
- maintain contact with police and security personnel on duty and track their status via radio system
- operate the airport public courtesy telephone system and paging system
- notify appropriate airport staff and outside agencies during emergencies and maintain clear communication
- perform clerical work including typing reports and entering data
- perform related duties and responsibilities as required
- may perform other duties as assigned
