Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in communications, marketing, or related field
  • several years of experience in hospitality or private club communications
  • excellent writing and editing skills
  • proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • strong organizational and project management skills
  • ability to work flexible hours including variations in shift days and times
  • strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
  • experience managing social media platforms
  • ability to produce and manage multimedia content
  • experience handling communications related to events and branding
  • knowledge of communication strategy development
  • reliable and professional demeanor

Job Qualifications

  • Experience in hospitality or private club communications
  • excellent creative writing, proofing, editing, and verbal communication skills
  • proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • strong project management and multi-tasking abilities
  • ability to understand and translate club industry and hospitality information into engaging content
  • strong collaboration skills to work across multiple teams
  • proficiency in social media management and content creation
  • analytical skills to measure and report on communications success
  • experience with stakeholder management including members and team members
  • ability to work independently and as part of a team in a professional setting

Job Duties

  • Develop and implement effective communication strategies and plans that align with organizational corporate goals and values
  • create and manage the brand communications calendar ensuring timely and strategic execution
  • handle member communications including eblast campaigns promoting club events, catering, interest groups, and charity events
  • design, write, edit, and produce a variety of communications materials such as member emails, newsletters, brochures, flyers, posters, menus, invitations, signage, website content, press releases, and press kits
  • write and edit messaging and talking points for senior leadership including the Club President and COO
  • maintain and update the club website regularly
  • create member-driven content for social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn
  • produce and coordinate video content for the COO's 'Tides of Change' series
  • build collaborative relationships with other departments to ensure clear and consistent messaging
  • attend director and committee meetings as assigned
  • manage external creative agencies
  • create marketing collateral in partnership with graphic designers and coordinate approval workflows
  • manage digital assets and photo libraries
  • monitor and analyze communication strategies for effectiveness
  • manage brand communication-related events and meetings
  • produce media content for club events
  • collaborate on the annual marketing plan
  • seek and secure guest speaking opportunities for leadership
  • develop and oversee the club’s corporate brand guide
  • benchmark marketing practices with other clubs and resorts
  • maintain professional appearance and represent the club leadership and membership at public engagements
