  • ability to design newsletters and related materials
  • effective oral communication and public speaking skills
  • proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • working knowledge of WordPress, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Canva
  • ability to professionally engage online communities
  • sound judgment, tact, and professionalism
  • experience in coordinating events and community outreach
  • ability to build positive working relationships with staff, partners, and public
  • ability to research and present information clearly

Job Duties

  • Develop and execute comprehensive communication strategies aligned with the airport mission and objectives
  • serve as primary media contact coordinating press releases, interviews, media briefings, and crisis communications
  • maintain consistent brand messaging across platforms and materials
  • draft speaking points, internal and executive communications
  • lead creation, scheduling, and monitoring of social media content
  • collaborate with IT staff for website updates and maintenance
  • develop digital campaigns highlighting airport services and community involvement
  • monitor trends, sentiment, and analytics to refine messaging
  • manage and grow volunteer programs ensuring training and engagement
  • build and maintain relationships with local organizations, schools, nonprofits, businesses, and civic groups
  • represent the airport at community events and public forums
  • plan and execute airport-sponsored events including open houses and special ceremonies
  • lead planning and execution of inaugural airline events and route launches
  • oversee event logistics, vendor coordination, budgets, and post-event evaluation
  • develop and deliver programs improving customer journey and passenger support
  • collaborate on customer service campaigns and amenities upgrades
  • monitor passenger feedback and translate into improvements
  • develop and track customer service KPIs
  • work with airport leadership and teams to ensure consistent communication
  • provide strategic insights on public perception and passenger trends
  • support emergency communications within incident command structure
  • perform other duties as assigned
