Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- ability to work full-time, 40 hours per week on night shift schedule from 11 p.m. to 7 a.m.
- must obtain a valid Restricted Radiotelephone Operator's permit issued by the Federal Communications Commission after appointment
- compliance with background check as required by Executive Office of Health and Human Services
- willingness to comply with Title 101 CMR 23.00 vaccination and mitigation regulation
- ability to pass pre-hire screening including verification of education and licensure
- eligibility to work in the United States
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or equivalent
- prior experience in code calling, dispatch, or communications preferred
- bilingual or multilingual fluency preferred
- ability to obtain a valid Restricted Radiotelephone Operator's permit issued by the Federal Communications Commission
- strong communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to work night shift hours effectively
- familiarity with telecommunications and radio communication equipment
Job Duties
- Operate a Cisco console for telecommunications system
- operate emergency paging and/or beeper system
- contact and dispatch emergency personnel to incidences according to emergency procedure protocol
- transmit messages from a radio communications base station in compliance with Federal Communications Commission rules and regulations
- monitor radio frequencies to receive, evaluate and forward information
- operate radio transmitting and receiving equipment including fixed stations and mobile units
- greet and direct visitors, answer questions, and provide information and/or literature pertaining to agency rules, regulations and/or operation
- perform miscellaneous office duties such as typing, filing, and record keeping
