Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- Relevant education or experience demonstrating acquired and successfully applied knowledge
- Ability to work Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- On-site work at Pomona campus
- Ability to communicate professionally with diverse stakeholders
- Experience managing digital content and social media
- Ability to plan, organize, and coordinate events and communications
- Must pass a background check
- Must comply with California State University out-of-state employment policy
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- Relevant education or experience demonstrating acquired and successfully applied knowledge and abilities
- General knowledge of marketing, branding, communications, and public relations
- Knowledge of applicable copyright and confidentiality laws
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately
- Understanding of media outlets including print, television, and radio
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to analyze information and data and summarize clearly
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines
- Organizational skills to plan, organize, and prioritize work
- Computer skills to use technology and relevant software effectively
Job Duties
- Contribute to developing, maintaining, and executing a communications calendar to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of messages
- Help develop and maintain a project tracking system to monitor schedules and meet deadlines
- Collaborate and assist with communication and marketing efforts for college-wide events, ensuring alignment across stakeholders
- Independently update and create web pages for the College of Engineering using the university's CMS platform
- Manage the College's Social media presence, including weekly content planning and posting to Instagram
- Collect, interpret, and present data on enrollment, admissions, and graduation rates for annual surveys and reports
- Strategically draft and distribute event communications such as invitations, reminders, and thank-you notes
