Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in commercial or healthcare cleaning preferred
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting and standing for extended periods
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to follow all safety and operational procedures
- Basic understanding of chemical handling and safety regulations
Job Qualifications
- Knowledge of environmental cleaning procedures
- Understanding of infection control and OSHA/SDS standards
- Experience in using cleaning chemicals and equipment
- Ability to communicate effectively with residents and colleagues
- Capability to follow safety and security protocols
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to cleanliness and safety
- Team-player with strong work ethic and reliability
Job Duties
- Work in Independent Living and Health Care of Glenaire with knowledge of all cleaning procedures
- Clean all public and employee restrooms to community standards
- Acknowledge residents and colleagues in a pleasant manner
- Follow security procedures regarding resident belongings
- Stock all public area closets and communicate proactively about stock levels
- Report all maintenance concerns to an EVS Leader
- Stock supplies and refill chemicals for Housekeeping cart for next day preparation
- Comply with all safety regulations and maintain a clean and safe working environment
- Apply knowledge of infection control, OSHA/SDS, and hazardous chemicals to pass Health Department Inspections
- Adhere to all environmental policies and programs
- Complete all scheduled special cleaning procedures monthly, weekly, yearly
- Perform additional tasks assigned by the Director of Environmental Services
- Maintain high standards for safety, cleanliness, and respect for residents' property
