Job Requirements

- Specialized experience demonstrating knowledge of retail food merchandising, procurement, and management
- Meet time-in-grade requirements for federal employees

Job Qualifications
- One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-9 grade level for GS-11
- One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level for GS-12
- One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level for GS-13
- One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level for GS-14
- Knowledge of retail procurement and distribution methods
- Understanding of principles and procedures of retail food merchandising and store management
- Experience in developing and applying policies and operational standards
- Ability to provide technical advice on merchandising
- Management experience in retail food store environment
Job Duties
- Managing all commissary activities and functions including departmental oversight
- Exercising managerial and supervisory responsibilities over store employees
- Planning and standardizing retail food store operations
- Developing, interpreting, and applying store policies, procedures, and operating standards
- Providing technical advice on merchandising and operational matters
- Ensuring compliance with food safety and quality standards
- Overseeing procurement and distribution processes within the commissary
