Job Requirements
- Meet qualifications and requirements by announcement closing date
- Resume and/or transcript must clearly demonstrate qualifications
- Specialized experience or education combination for GS-11
- Specialized experience only for GS-12, 13 and 14 grades
- Time-in-grade requirements must be met
- Time after competitive appointment requirements must be met
- Respond to competency questions regarding interpersonal skills and management experience
- Experience in retail food merchandising and store management
- Must provide transcripts if using education to qualify
- U.S. Department of Education accredited transcripts required
- Submit foreign education equivalency if applicable
Job Qualifications
- One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-9 grade level for GS-11
- One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 grade level for GS-12
- One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 grade level for GS-13
- One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 grade level for GS-14
- Education in business administration, public administration, agricultural economics, or related fields
- Experience in retail food store management
- Knowledge of retail procurement and distribution methods
- Ability to interpret and apply policies and procedures
Job Duties
- Manage all activities and functions of the commissary including grocery, meat, produce, deli-bakery departments
- Provide management support and supervise store employees
- Oversee retail procurement and distribution methods
- Plan, standardize, and control operations in the commissary
- Develop, interpret, and apply policies and operating standards
- Provide technical advice on merchandising and operational matters
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and customer satisfaction
