Job Requirements
- specialized experience at the appropriate grade level
- education in business administration, public administration, agricultural economics, or related fields
- combination of specialized experience and education for GS-11
- time-in-grade requirements met
- time after competitive appointment requirements met
- submission of transcripts if education is used to qualify
- understanding of interpersonal skills
- management experience in retail store
- occasional overtime availability
- ability to work in exempt position
- no bargaining unit status
- compliance with federal employment guidelines
Job Qualifications
- one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-9 grade level for GS-11
- one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 grade level for GS-12
- one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 grade level for GS-13
- one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 grade level for GS-14
- specialized experience in retail procurement and distribution
- knowledge of retail food merchandising principles and procedures
- experience managing a commissary store or similar retail food store
- experience developing and interpreting retail food store policies
- ability to provide technical advice on merchandising
- experience supervising store employees

- supervising and providing managerial support to store employees
- planning, standardizing, and controlling store operations
- developing and applying retail food merchandising policies and procedures
- advising on merchandising and operational matters
- ensuring compliance with federal retail management standards
- overseeing procurement and distribution methods
