Job Requirements
- Meet qualifications and requirements by announcement closing date
- provide resume and/or transcript to demonstrate qualifications
- have specialized experience or education credentials
- meet time-in-grade and time after competitive appointment requirements
- submit proof of federal service time if applicable
- for foreign education, provide equivalency evaluation and transcripts in English
- complete all application questions related to interpersonal skills and management experience
- occasional overtime availability

- exempt under FLSA
Job Qualifications
- One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-9 grade level for GS-11
- Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or three full years of progressively higher graduate level education for GS-11
- combination of specialized experience and education for GS-11
- one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 grade level for GS-12
- one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 grade level for GS-13
- one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 grade level for GS-14
- knowledge of retail procurement and food merchandising
- experience managing retail food stores or departments
- ability to develop and apply policies and operating standards
- strong interpersonal skills
- management experience in retail store
Job Duties
- Manage all activities and functions of the commissary including grocery, meat, produce, and deli-bakery departments as applicable
- exercise full managerial and supervisory responsibilities for store employees
- oversee retail procurement and distribution methods
- apply principles, procedures, and techniques of retail food merchandising and store management
- stay informed on developments in retail food store items, equipment, and practices
- develop, interpret, and apply policies and operating standards
- provide technical advice on merchandising and operational matters
- coordinate with management support and other functions
