Job Requirements

  • Must repeatedly lift and/or move 50 pounds or more
  • Constant lifting and bending
  • Constant repetitive motion of wrists, hands, fingers, and joints
  • Repeatedly stoop, kneel, bend, balance, reach, crawl, and crouch while performing work duties

Job Duties

  • Work efficiently and independently in all aspects of handmade bread and sweets production including sizing formulas, pre-mixing, pre-shaping, shaping, baking, etc.
  • Ensure all bakery items are properly packaged and labeled for sale
  • Meet daily market demands for multiple locations with a team that can grow
  • Adhere to the production schedule and communicate with culinary director if unable to execute on time
  • Consistently deliver the highest quality product demonstrating integrity in process and technique
  • Responsible for department security and safety
  • Monitor and maintain a clean and sanitary work environment
  • Work with the culinary director to monitor equipment ensuring good working order and timely maintenance
  • Monitor food supplies and purchases to ensure proper inventory turnover and ingredient quality
  • Maintain professional and open communication with crew members
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with vendors, staff and crew members
  • Consider advice and cooperate with recommendations made by managers and crew members to improve operations and financial results
  • Follow all Health Department standards, guidelines, and regulations
  • Handle work stress professionally and positively
