The position of Commercial Kitchen Equipment Technician ... Show More
Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 1 year experience or training in commercial kitchen equipment repair
- Ability to use hand and power tools proficiently
- Ability to lift up to 100 pounds regularly and 50 pounds frequently
- Ability to perform physical tasks including stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, twisting, and grasping
- Ability to tolerate environmental conditions such as extreme heat, cold, noise, vibration, fumes, dust, and poor ventilation
- Willingness and ability to work flexible hours and under minimal supervision
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- CFESA or EPA certifications preferred
- Burn and fire watch certification a plus
- HVACR experience and certifications preferred
- Knowledge and experience with plumbing, electrical, and copper work related to installation
- Diagnostic ability demonstrated through at least 1 year of experience or training in commercial cooking equipment
- Competent use of meters, measuring instruments, torches, and hand tools
- Effective communication skills with customers
- Ability to work independently and under pressure
Job Duties
- Install new commercial kitchen equipment including dishwashers, conveyor ovens, stoves, kettles, fryers, steamers, and ice machines
- Diagnose commercial cooking equipment performance through observation, testing, and setup
- Disassemble and reassemble equipment to perform troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and repair
- Operate hand tools, power tools, gauges, and measuring equipment to perform service of units
- Lift, carry, pull, and push components and/or equipment to test, setup, or maintain equipment
- Give and take written and verbal instructions
- Complete documents to verify work performed
- Work flexible hours as required
