Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 1 year experience or training in commercial kitchen equipment repair
  • Ability to use hand and power tools proficiently
  • Ability to lift up to 100 pounds regularly and 50 pounds frequently
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, twisting, and grasping
  • Ability to tolerate environmental conditions such as extreme heat, cold, noise, vibration, fumes, dust, and poor ventilation
  • Willingness and ability to work flexible hours and under minimal supervision

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • CFESA or EPA certifications preferred
  • Burn and fire watch certification a plus
  • HVACR experience and certifications preferred
  • Knowledge and experience with plumbing, electrical, and copper work related to installation
  • Diagnostic ability demonstrated through at least 1 year of experience or training in commercial cooking equipment
  • Competent use of meters, measuring instruments, torches, and hand tools
  • Effective communication skills with customers
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure

Job Duties

  • Install new commercial kitchen equipment including dishwashers, conveyor ovens, stoves, kettles, fryers, steamers, and ice machines
  • Diagnose commercial cooking equipment performance through observation, testing, and setup
  • Disassemble and reassemble equipment to perform troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and repair
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, gauges, and measuring equipment to perform service of units
  • Lift, carry, pull, and push components and/or equipment to test, setup, or maintain equipment
  • Give and take written and verbal instructions
  • Complete documents to verify work performed
  • Work flexible hours as required
