- proven experience in maintenance or engineering role
- ability to perform physical maintenance tasks
- strong leadership and team supervision skills
- excellent problem-solving skills
- ability to make quick and sound decisions

- available for on-call emergencies
- knowledge of safety regulations and compliance
- valid driver’s license
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- prior experience in maintenance management or related field
- knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, and general repair
- leadership and team management skills
- ability to perform hands-on maintenance tasks
- good decision-making and problem-solving abilities
- effective communication and organizational skills
- experience managing contractors and vendor relationships
Job Duties
- Responsible for staffing maintenance department including hiring and terminations
- overseeing direct reports' performance and development through feedback, meetings, goal setting, coaching, training, and reviews
- holding team members accountable for following all hotel policies, checklists, and SOPs
- perform hands-on maintenance to guest rooms and hotel equipment including painting, wall vinyl repair, basic plumbing
- delegate tasks to subordinates
- maintain and repair buildings' plumbing and electrical systems including replacing defective parts such as switches and fuses
- identify when tasks exceed staff skill level and seek outside contractor help
- obtain multiple bids from contractors and manage contractors on site through completion
- make quick decisions on expensive repairs to mitigate guest impact
- manage and delegate work to employees to ensure timely completion of tasks
- meet all deadlines regarding brand and company standards
- provide a safe working environment
