Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Meet minimum requirements for ATP or RATP certificate
  • Meet current interview and hiring minimum age and flight hour requirements set by FAA and Company
  • Ability to read and interpret technical procedures and regulations
  • Effective communication skills in English
  • Ability to remain calm and act appropriately under high stress
  • Physical ability to meet FAA medical standards including good vision and hearing
  • Physical stamina to work long hours under varying weather conditions
  • Ability to handle moving mechanical parts and loud noise environments
  • Willingness to travel up to 100 percent including nights, weekends, holidays, and overnight stays
  • Ready to relocate if required by Company
  • Able to pass security and background checks

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Must meet minimum requirements for ATP or RATP certificate
  • ATP written exam preferred
  • Meet current interview and hiring minimum age and flight hours requirements set by FAA and Company
  • Ability to read, analyze, interpret, and understand technical procedures and governmental regulations
  • Effective communication skills with management, dispatch, crew, passengers, air traffic control, and general public
  • Ability to speak and be understood in English clearly including verbal commands during emergencies
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with various concrete variables
  • Ability to remain calm and react quickly in emergency situations
  • Capable of making informed decisions that impact safety
  • Willingness to participate in ongoing professional training and development

Job Duties

  • Provide the Captain with proper planning of each flight using all applicable weather information and reports in compliance with Company policies and federal aviation regulations
  • Determine that the aircraft is air-worthy according to federal aviation regulations and company policies and complete preflight inspections
  • Ensure the flight is properly planned and fueled in collaboration with the Captain to guarantee safe flight operations
  • Safely and effectively operate the aircraft during the designated duty period following the instructions of the Captain and applicable regulations
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the equipment operated, regulations, manuals, policies, procedures, and instructions
  • Notify crew and passengers of turbulent weather conditions or any operational factors affecting the flight
  • Complete the load manifest for each flight
  • Assist the Captain in meeting all report times, departure times, and minimum turn times to ensure a reliable and on-time operation
  • Support proper handling of aircraft, passengers, baggage, and cargo while at the terminal
  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance according to company procedures
  • Adhere to the company uniform dress code and present a professional appearance
  • Conduct self professionally at all times while on duty and observe all rules of conduct outlined in the company manuals
  • Continue professional training towards improving performance and abilities
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Company and the Captain
