Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, logistics, or related field
  • 5-7+ years of relevant sales or account management experience
  • proven success in air cargo, air operations, or ground handling sales
  • strong consultative selling skills
  • excellent communication and negotiation abilities
  • ability to manage complex B2B accounts
  • knowledge of logistics, shipping, and cargo payment processes
  • experience with SaaS or fintech platforms preferred
  • analytical skills to assess data and performance metrics
  • ability to travel as needed
  • adaptable to fast-paced startup environments

Job Qualifications

  • 5-7+ years of sales or account management experience in cargo logistics, air cargo, airline operations or similar
  • proven experience building and managing strategic relationships with airline finance, cargo operations, and handling teams
  • 5+ years of consultative selling experience aligning customer needs with tailored solution offerings
  • proven track record managing large or complex B2B accounts involving multi-stakeholder vendor and payer relationships
  • strong understanding of shipping, forwarding, cargo release processes, vendor relationships, and port and terminal operations
  • familiarity with payment processes in logistics including invoices, accounts payable, receivables, and possibly trade finance or financing products
  • experience working with technology or SaaS platforms, ideally in fintech or payments related to transportation logistics
  • excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • analytical mindset with ability to interpret usage data, financials, identify trends, spot risk, and recommend solutions
  • comfortable with travel and working in a fast-paced startup environment

Job Duties

  • Own a portfolio of mid- to large-size corporate accounts in freight forwarding, ocean liner operations, terminals, or cargo logistics
  • drive retention, renewals, and upsells such as add-on modules like Invoice AI and AP automation
  • identify and pursue expansion opportunities including cross-selling and geographic growth
  • ensure smooth onboarding of complex clients by coordinating implementation, integrations, training, and change management
  • act as primary point of escalation for customer issues to ensure high satisfaction and low churn
  • work with internal teams including product, engineering, and support to feedback customer needs for product roadmap alignment
  • support sales team in closing high-value deals by providing subject matter expertise
  • lead proposal development, contract negotiations, and pricing for strategic accounts
  • maintain deep understanding of industry trends including ocean freight, terminal workflows, and regulatory compliance
  • monitor competitor solutions, customer pain points, and technology trends
  • track account health metrics such as usage volume, payment velocity, profitability, and churn risk
  • produce regular reports on account performance, pipeline, risks, and opportunities
  • forecast revenue, renewals, and expansions from portfolio
