Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 1 year experience as a line cook or in a similar role
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Physical ability to stand for long periods and perform kitchen duties
- Willingness to follow instructions and adapt to a fast-paced environment

- Ability to follow detailed recipes and culinary instructions

Job Duties
- Prepare all items according to recipe cards and directions provided by chefs and plate dishes in alignment with hotel use records to ensure consistency and meet guest expectations
- Conduct sensory evaluations including taste, smell, and visual inspection of all products before service to ensure high-quality ingredients and correct recipes
- Promptly report any substandard or low-quality products to supervisors or chefs to address and rectify issues
- Maintain accurate timing and pace during service to ensure prompt delivery of food to guests
- Handle and store all equipment properly and keep the service line and related areas clean by following the clean as you go policy and using sanitizers
- Ensure the workstation is efficiently set up before meal functions to maximize productivity
- Store and handle food items properly to minimize waste and misuse while being mindful of food costs
- Strive to serve guests only the highest quality products reflecting the hotel's commitment to excellence
- Conduct daily taste panels to ensure dishes are perfectly seasoned and appropriate for serving
- Uphold strict standards of food sanitation and quality including regular cleaning of equipment, mopping floors, and emptying trash
- Monitor and maintain safe temperatures for hot and cold holding of food items according to laws and regulations
- Ensure proper sanitation practices during meal periods by promptly removing trash, dirty dishes, and cleaning up spills
- Perform any reasonable task assigned by lead cooks, culinary supervisors, or hotel managers
- Foster positive working relationships and promote teamwork across the department and hotel
