Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 1 year driving experience
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License
- Registration with FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse
- Must be 21 years or older
- Hazmat, Tanker and Doubles endorsements
- Ability to drive tractor trailers in compliance with FMCSA regulations
- Ability to operate forklift
- Ability to lift, push or pull 70 lbs or more
- Physical ability to perform duties including climbing and twisting
- Pass FMCSA medical exam and road test
- Ability to work flexible schedules and varied routes
- Must be able to comply with company policies and safety regulations
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently and in teams
- Pass drug and criminal background checks
- Authorization to work in the U.S.
Job Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Must be 21 years of age with at least 1 year of driving experience per FMCSA regulations
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License
- Registered with the FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse
- Hazmat, Tanker and Doubles endorsements required
- Ability to operate forklift with minimum 7,500 lbs capacity
- Stable employment history preferred
- Familiarity with state motor vehicle laws and FMCSA regulations
- Ability to comply with FMCSA medical and road test requirements
- Ability to speak and read English
- Ability to drive in diverse terrains and environmental conditions
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, random drug and alcohol tests, and criminal background check
- Authorization to work in the United States
Job Duties
- Operate all types of equipment safely including manual transmission and chaining tires
- Drive tractor/trailer in compliance with Company, Federal, State and Local laws and FMCSA regulations
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure safe working conditions of the tractor and trailer
- Maintain compliance records required by local, state, and federal regulations
- Ensure safe and legal transportation of hazardous materials
- Secure equipment and cargo during transportation
- Use in-cab technology such as electronic logs as required
- Work varied schedules including local routes, regional runs, and dock work
- Provide professional and courteous service to customers and the public
- Assist with loading and unloading freight as needed
- Report maintenance issues promptly to Fleet Services or supervision
- Verify paperwork and report discrepancies to supervisor
- Comply with all company policies and safety regulations
- Regular attendance and ability to work independently or in a team setting
