Job Requirements
- Valid driver's license
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to pass annual DOT regulated medical exam
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs with or without accommodation
- Ability to operate a delivery van and handheld tablet device
- Good driving record
- May require chauffeur's license in some states
Job Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED desired
- Any prior delivery driver experience preferred
- Previous customer service experience is a plus
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers
- Ability to operate a delivery van and handheld technology devices
- Understanding of food safety and handling procedures
Job Duties
- Provide excellent customer service while delivering orders
- Act as a brand ambassador discussing Kroger's Seamless Experience and delivery process
- Maintain high professionalism and personal presentation
- Drive company vehicle safely following Kroger driving standards
- Ensure orders are delivered on time and in good condition
- Communicate with customers during delivery about any issues or changes
- Maintain accurate records of customer deliveries
- Assist fellow drivers encountering difficulties during deliveries
- Monitor and maintain temperature guidelines for goods
- Handle products according to food safety guidelines
- Record and report any breakages or contamination
- Conduct pre-inspection of company vehicle and report defects
- Operate company technology for mapping and customer interaction
- Perform essential job functions with or without accommodation
