Job Requirements

Minimum age 18
High school diploma or equivalent
At least 1 year of bakery experience
Completion of company orientation, food safety, and sanitation training upon hire
Ability to reach at waist, grasp constantly
Ability to frequently stand and walk
Ability to occasionally reach overhead, shoulder, knee, floor
Ability to bend, stoop, squat, crouch, kneel, stair climb, pivot, twist
Ability to push/pull with arms, pinch, utilize fine motor skills occasionally
Ability to occasionally be exposed to wet, cold, hot conditions and loud noise
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Ability to manage lifting items over 50 lbs with assistance

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent
Bakery experience
Communication and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of computer systems and equipment such as PC, symbol, scales, and label machine
Strong customer service skills
Reading and writing skills
Planning and organizing skills
Ability to function in a fast-paced retail environment
Ability to work attentively with customers

Job Duties

Provide superior customer service
Take orders from customers by telephone or in person
Answer customer questions regarding products and assist with selections
Use suggestive selling techniques to meet customer needs and build department sales
Apply proficient baking and frying skills including equipment set-up, operation, cleaning, and maintenance
Use production tools to plan baking and frying
Apply proper baking and frying techniques according to visual training aids
Plan and break out proper amount of baked goods daily
Ensure quality control of all products before sending to sales floor
Ensure baked and fried product reaches showcase and tables at prescribed times
Prepare, package, and merchandise fresh product effectively
Slice, package, label, and rotate products
Record production and shrink to aid in production planning
Clean and sanitize display cases
Maintain production area according to SOPs
Comply with H-E-B food safety and sanitation standards
Comply with department and store operating procedures
Operate and maintain all equipment properly
