Job Requirements

  • U.S. citizenship
  • Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science degree
  • 5+ years of related experience
  • ability to obtain and maintain Secret security clearance
  • experience with Military Decision-Making Process (MDMP)
  • knowledge of operations, planning, and training at battalion and higher levels
  • familiarity with Sustainment and C2 warfighting functions
  • former battalion S3, XO, or SPO in a Sustainment unit
  • able to travel up to 10-25% of the time
  • ability to deploy as required
  • strong leadership and training skills

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science required
  • 5+ years of related experience
  • advanced knowledge of Military Decision-Making Process (MDMP) and command post operations
  • experience in operations, planning, and training at battalion and higher echelons
  • thorough understanding of Sustainment and Command and Control (C2) warfighting functions
  • former battalion S3, executive officer, or staff planning officer in a Sustainment unit experience
  • preferred experience as Sustainment Battalion Commander, Combat Training Center Observer/Controller, small group instructor, SAMS or lead planner, primary or deputy general staff officer
  • outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • combat deployment experience (OIF/OND/OEF)
  • knowledge of scenario development

Job Duties

  • Lead, manage, and support by developing, organizing, and conducting training and educational programs for customer personnel
  • Apply best practices in staff training, meet industry requirements, and provide technical and training solutions tailored to Army mission command training
  • Collaborate with unit leadership to plan, coordinate, and execute unit collective training at echelons ranging from Battalion to Corps
  • Identify training gaps such as resource, training, and equipment deficiencies and work with management to fill them before execution
  • Gather observations during training events and provide input to unit After Action Reviews (AARs)
  • Maintain a comprehensive repository of relevant tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs)
  • Apply high-level technical and industry experience in specialized warfighting functions and serve as mentor or observer/trainer to support team and trainee development
