Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in commercial or airline catering preferred
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks
  • Willingness to work early morning shift from 4:00 am to 12:30 pm
  • Commitment to adhering to food safety and hygiene standards
  • Basic English proficiency for understanding recipes and safety guidelines
  • Ability to follow instructions and work within a team environment

Job Qualifications

  • Excellent attendance, performance, and safety record
  • Skilled in the proper use of cutlery, kitchen equipment, and machinery
  • Detail-oriented with a strong ability to multitask
  • Extensive knowledge of safe food handling practices and workstation sanitization
  • Ability to use knives, cutting boards, mobile shelving, carts, meat slicers, ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters
  • Ability to speak, read, and write English at a comprehensive level
  • Ability to convert to metric measures with a conversion chart
  • Flexibility to work in a 24/7 environment including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to wear protective equipment as required

Job Duties

  • Cook according to airline customized menu and established procedures/recipes
  • Saute, poach, bake, grill, and prepare sauces
  • Operate broilers, fryers, grills, ovens, and stovetop cooking equipment
  • Ensure food is stored and cooked at the correct temperature
  • Check freshness of food and ingredients by quality control and stock rotation
  • Implement GMP procedures including proper temperature controls
  • Inspect and clean food preparation and serving areas to maintain sanitation and safety standards
