Job Requirements

  • Ability to comply with company policies and procedures

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in food preparation or deli/cold food service preferred
  • Knowledge of food safety standards including ServSafe
  • Ability to operate slicing machines and other food preparation equipment
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to stand for extended periods during shifts

Job Duties

  • Obtain daily production schedule and preparation requirements from Chef
  • Prepare sandwich meats, cheeses, condiments and salads using approved production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures and standard portion control
  • Stock and replenish deli/cold products and condiments following approved merchandising guidelines
  • Carry pans, kettles and trays of food to and from workstation, stove and refrigerator
  • Store food in designated areas following HACCP standard wrapping, dating and rotation procedures
  • Clean, sanitize and maintain counters, work surfaces, refrigeration units and floors in the preparation and serving areas
  • Cut slices of meat, cheese or vegetables to designated thickness using slicing machine
  • Interact with coworkers to ensure compliance with company service standards, inventory and cash control procedures
  • Maintain clean, safe work environment to comply with sanitation, ServSafe and safety requirements
  • Perform other duties as assigned
