Job Requirements
- Food prep experience is a plus
- Ability to work full-time Sunday through Thursday with variable hours
- Must be able to stand for extended periods
- Ability to follow safety and hygiene protocols
- Eligibility to work in the United States
- Willingness to comply with company policies including drug-free workplace standards
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting and carrying food trays
- Must be punctual and reliable
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to follow food safety and sanitation procedures
- Basic food preparation skills
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to operate slicing machines and kitchen equipment safely
- Prior food prep experience preferred but not required
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment
Job Duties
- Obtain daily production schedule and preparation requirements from Chef
- Prepare sandwich meats, cheeses, condiments and salads using approved production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures and standard portion control
- Stock and replenish deli/cold products and condiments following approved merchandising guidelines
- Carry pans, kettles and trays of food to and from workstation, stove and refrigerator
- Store food in designated areas following HACCP standard wrapping, dating and rotation procedures
- Clean, sanitize and maintain counters, work surfaces, refrigeration units and floors in the preparation and serving areas
- Place meat, cheese or vegetables on cutting board and cut slices to designated thickness
- Position and clamp meat or cheese on carriage of slicing machine
- Adjust knob to set machine for desired thickness
- Press button to start motor that moves carriage past rotary blade that slices meats and cheeses
- Interact with coworkers to ensure compliance with company service standards, inventory and cash control procedures
- Maintain clean, safe work environment to comply with sanitation, ServSafe and safety requirements
- Perform other duties as assigned
