Job Requirements
- No formal education required
- minimum of 2 years related custodial, stewarding, or floor-care experience
- valid Houston Food Handler Certificate or equivalent
- ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- ability to stand and walk for up to 8 hours a day
- ability to work indoors and outdoors
- willingness to work varying schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- availability to work on-site at Cohen House Monday through Friday 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m
- ability to perform moderate to heavy physical labor
- ability to use commercial cleaning and dishwashing equipment
- good communication skills in English
Job Qualifications
- No formal education required

- knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safety procedures
- ability to operate commercial dishwashers and custodial equipment
- good interpersonal and teamwork skills
- ability to follow directions with minimal supervision
Job Duties
- Cleans offices, restrooms, kitchens, dining rooms, and public spaces
- washes, sanitizes, and stores dishes and utensils
- removes trash and dirty linens
- assists with bussing tables during lunch service
- supports room flips and event setup for banquets and meetings
- replenishes custodial supplies and restroom items
- reports maintenance issues and secures building as assigned
