Job Requirements
- Less than high school education or equivalent experience
- Six months or less of similar or related work experience
- Ability to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or verbal instructions
- Ability to do simple addition and subtraction
- Ability to copy figures, count and record data
- Ability to understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions
- Ability to write identifying information
- Ability to request supplies orally or in writing
- Must be able to physically perform medium work involving exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, 20 pounds frequently, and 10 pounds constantly
- Must have visual acuity including clarity of vision at a distance of more than 20 inches and less than 20 feet with or without correction, color vision, depth perception and field of vision
- Must be able to perform physical activities such as climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions

Job Duties
- Provide prompt, efficient and friendly customer service by exhibiting caring, concern and patience in all customer interactions and treating customers as the most important people in the store
- Smile and greet customers in a friendly manner, whether the encounter takes place in the employee's designated department or elsewhere in the store
- Make an effort to learn customers' names and to address them by name whenever possible
- Assist customers by escorting them to products, securing out-of-reach products, loading or unloading heavy items, making note of and passing along customer suggestions or requests, and performing other tasks to enhance the shopping experience
- Answer the telephone promptly when called upon and provide friendly, helpful service to customers including taking customer orders
- Take customer orders at the counter
- Work with co-workers as a team to ensure customer satisfaction and a pleasant work environment
- Handle food in a safe manner and ensure the work area is always clean and neat
- Review the status and appearance of the food for freshness
- Ensure that an adequate food supply is ready and on hand and develop or follow a production list
- Anticipate product needs for the department on a daily basis
- Prepare and replenish product as necessary
- Check in product, put product away, and review invoices
- Run the department registers and receive payment, make change, where applicable
- Remove trash in a timely manner
- Maintain strict adherence to department and company guidelines related to personal hygiene and dress
- Adhere to company policies and individual store guidelines
- Report to work when scheduled and on time
- Wash dishes as necessary
- Order product and supplies as necessary
- Price products for customers as necessary
- Assist in other areas of store as needed
- Perform other job related duties and special projects as required
