Job Requirements

  • coffee experience with safe serve certification or ability to complete certification upon hiring
  • 3-5 years of leadership level experience
  • bachelor’s degree in related field or equal experience in hospitality/service field
  • budget experience with ability to understand financial reporting and implement corrective actions
  • previous experience training, mentoring and managing staff or volunteers
  • previous administrative experience
  • personal relationship with Jesus preferred

Job Duties

  • cultivating positive relationships with customers and creating a sense of community
  • preparing and serving high-quality coffee and beverages with attention to detail
  • overseeing daily operations of the shop and maintaining cleanliness and organization
  • managing inventory and ordering supplies as needed
  • leading and executing all administrative tasks including strategic planning, team scheduling, budgeting, invoicing, menu pricing, and addressing customer inquiries
  • planning and executing volunteer recruitment, development, and appreciation
  • training and mentoring staff and volunteers in barista skills and customer service
  • implementing and enforcing sanitary practices for food handling and general cleanliness
  • collaborating on marketing and event planning to promote the coffee shop and increase community engagement
  • creating and leading an environment of belonging with a high degree of hospitality and skill
