Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- over one year of related work experience
- ability to solve practical problems and interpret instructions
- capability to perform arithmetic calculations with fractions, decimals, and percentages
- physical ability to lift up to 100 pounds occasionally
- ability to perform climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions
- adherence to company policies and hygiene standards
- availability to report to work on time
- willingness to complete pre-employment drug screen
Job Qualifications

- strong leadership and customer service skills
- ability to solve practical problems with limited standardization
- competence in arithmetic including fractions, decimals, and percentages

- proficiency in inventory management and merchandising

Job Duties
- Maintains a positive attitude
- creates an atmosphere of friendliness and fun through flexibility and teamwork
- generates a friendly atmosphere by encouraging employees to greet and speak to customers
- sets the department standards for customer service, employee relations, cleanliness, sanitation, professional appearance and overall profitability
- smiles and greets customers in a friendly manner
- makes an effort to learn customers�� names and to address them by name whenever possible
- assists customers by escorting them to products, securing out-of-reach products, loading or unloading heavy items, making note of customer suggestions
- answers the telephone promptly
- recruits, hires, trains, supervises, disciplines, and evaluates all department employees
- determines department goals with store director
- determines weekly work schedule and establishes a daily work plan
- inspects signage and displays
- handles and satisfies customer issues
- communicates with employees regarding sales and ideas
- figures retail pricing
- extends and posts invoices and oversees bookkeeping
- analyzes sales and trends, prepares ad projections and writes ads
- conducts inventory
- plans displays and promotions
- ensures proper temperatures and storage
- troubleshoots and ensures maintenance of equipment
- maintains store appearance and equipment
- completes and implements advanced store training
- maintains consistent speed of service
- maintains strict adherence to hygiene and dress guidelines
- adheres to company policies
- reports to work on time
- ensures pricing is competitive
- attends meetings and seminars
- fills displays and works in sales area
- unloads trucks and checks in merchandise
- performs departmental duties as needed
- assists in other store areas
- performs other job-related duties and projects
