Job Requirements
- Less than high school or equivalent experience
- Six months or less of related work experience
- Ability to handle detailed but simple written or verbal instructions
- Ability to perform simple math like addition and subtraction
- Capability to understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions
- Must be able to physically perform medium work including lifting up to 50 pounds
- Ability to perform physical activities such as climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions
- Commitment to personal hygiene and dress standards
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen
Job Qualifications
- Less than high school education or equivalent experience
- Six months or less of similar or related work experience
- Ability to carry out simple written or verbal instructions
- Ability to do simple addition and subtraction
- Ability to understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
Job Duties
- Provide prompt, efficient and friendly customer service
- Smile and greet customers in a friendly manner
- Learn customers' names and address them by name whenever possible
- Assist customers by escorting them to products, securing out-of-reach items, loading/unloading heavy items, and passing along suggestions
- Answer telephone promptly and provide friendly service, including taking orders
- Take customer orders at counter
- Work collaboratively with coworkers to ensure customer satisfaction and pleasant environment
- Handle food safely and maintain clean, neat work areas
- Review food freshness and maintain adequate food supply
- Prepare and replenish products as needed
- Check in and put away product, review invoices when necessary
- Operate registers and handle payments when applicable
- Remove trash in a timely manner
- Maintain adherence to personal hygiene and dress guidelines
- Follow company policies and store guidelines
- Report to work on time and as scheduled
- Wash dishes as necessary
- Order products and supplies
- Price products for customers
- Assist other store areas as needed
- Perform other job-related duties and special projects
