Job Requirements
- Must be able to physically perform medium work exerting up to 50 pounds occasionally, 20 pounds frequently, and 10 pounds constantly to move objects
- Visual clarity at distances of more than 20 inches and less than 20 feet with or without correction
- Ability to perform climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions
- Must be able to report to work when scheduled and on time
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen
- Must adhere to company policies and individual store guidelines
Job Qualifications
- Less than high school education or equivalent experience
- Six months or less of similar or related work experience
- Ability to understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions
- Ability to do simple addition and subtraction
- Ability to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or verbal instructions
Job Duties
- Provide prompt, efficient and friendly customer service by exhibiting caring, concern and patience in all customer interactions
- Smile and greet customers in a friendly manner
- Learn customers' names and address them by name whenever possible
- Assist customers by escorting them to products, securing out-of-reach products, loading or unloading heavy items, noting and passing along customer suggestions
- Answer the telephone promptly and provide helpful service including taking customer orders
- Take customer orders at the counter
- Work with co-workers as a team to ensure customer satisfaction and a pleasant work environment
- Handle food safely and ensure the work area is clean and neat
- Review the status and appearance of food for freshness
- Ensure an adequate food supply is ready and on hand, following production lists
- Anticipate daily product needs and prepare or replenish product as necessary
- Check in product, put product away, and review invoices
- Operate department registers, receive payment, and make change
- Remove trash timely
- Maintain adherence to personal hygiene and dress guidelines
- Adhere to company policies and store guidelines
- Report to work when scheduled and on time
