Job Qualifications
- Passion for customer service
- Minimum 1 year experience as a barista in specialty coffee or 2 years in non-specialty high volume environment
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Experience using a point of sale system
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds
Job Duties
- Follow Bluestone Lane recipes and presentation standards in a timely manner
- Manage coffee shop equipment and tool cleaning and maintenance
- Complete transactions accurately and follow safety and security measures
- Dial in and maintain consistent espresso extraction per Bluestone Lane brew ratios
- Educate and upsell customers on the menu to enhance sales
- Train and acclimate baristas in training
- Maintain cleanliness and restock condiment stations and workspace
