Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- at least 1 year barista experience in specialty coffee or 2 years in fast service coffee environments
- ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- strong communication skills
- ability to stand and perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 40 pounds
- familiarity with POS systems
- attention to detail

- minimum 1 year experience as a barista in specialty coffee or 2 years in fast-paced non-specialty coffee environments
- ability to work in high-pressure, fast-paced environments

- physical ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 pounds
Job Duties
- Follow Bluestone Lane recipes and presentation standards in a timely manner
- manage coffee shop equipment and tool cleaning and maintenance
- complete transactions accurately and follow safety and security procedures
- dial espresso machines and maintain consistent extraction per brew ratios
- educate, upsell, and excite locals about the menu
- train, educate, and acclimate new baristas
- report supplier issues to management
- maintain coffee product rotation and inventory to minimize waste
- deliver high quality products efficiently
- clean and restock condiment stations and maintain cleanliness of the bar and workspace
- complete store opening and closing procedures accurately
- recognize and interact warmly with locals by name
- provide cross-functional service between machine, smash bar, and POS
- adhere to grooming standards and operational protocols
