Job Requirements
- must be able to physically perform medium work exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, 20 pounds frequently, and 10 pounds constantly
- must have clarity of vision at distance of 20 inches to 20 feet with or without correction
- must have color vision, depth perception and field of vision
- must be able to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, stand, walk, push, pull, lift, finger, grasp, feel, talk, hear, and perform repetitive motions
Job Qualifications
- less than high school or equivalent experience
- six months or less of similar or related work experience
- ability to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or verbal instructions
- ability to do simple addition and subtraction
- ability to understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions
- capability to write identifying information and request supplies
Job Duties
- provides prompt, efficient and friendly customer service by exhibiting caring, concern and patience
- smiles and greets customers in a friendly manner
- makes an effort to learn customers' names and address them by name
- assists customers by escorting them to products, securing out-of-reach products, loading or unloading heavy items, passing along customer suggestions
- answers the telephone promptly and takes customer orders
- takes customer orders at the counter
- works with co-workers as a team
- handles food safely and ensures work area is clean
- reviews food freshness
- ensures adequate food supply and follows production list
- anticipates product needs daily
- prepares and replenishes product
- checks in product and may review invoices
- runs department registers and handles payments
- removes trash in a timely manner
- maintains personal hygiene and dress guidelines
- adheres to company policies and store guidelines
- reports to work on time
