Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- minimum one year experience as a barista in specialty coffee or two years in a fast-paced non-specialty coffee setting
- ability to operate POS systems
- strong communication skills
- capability to work under pressure efficiently
- ability to stand for long durations and lift 40 pounds
- detail-oriented and organized approach to work

- familiarity with point of sale (POS) systems
- ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment

- passion for customer service
Job Duties
- follow Bluestone Lane recipes and presentation standards in a timely manner
- manage coffee shop equipment and tool cleaning and maintenance, including daily cleaning and periodic maintenance
- complete transactions accurately and follow safety and security measures
- dial machine and maintain consistent espresso extraction according to brew ratios
- educate, upsell and engage customers with deep menu knowledge
- train and support baristas in training and contribute to workflow innovations
- ensure cleanliness and restock condiment stations, clear and wipe tables and counters
- maintain stock rotation and manage ordering to minimize waste
- uphold grooming guidelines and complete store opening and closing procedures
- deliver efficient high-quality products with speed and accuracy
